“When I think of the Church, I think of a lighthouse. The purpose of a lighthouse is to be a beacon of light, providing safe passage around hidden obstructions. As well as this purpose, lighthouses are one of the strongest structures known to man. They are able to withstand a constant beating from the most powerful waves. This is the perfect picture of the Church, capturing both our mission and our position. We are positioned on an unmovable foundation - even the very forces of Satan cannot prevail against us. Our mission is to shine the light of Christ into the darkness of a broken world with the good news of Jesus.”

Andrew McGruther — Senior Minister

Our Vision

We believe the local church is the hope of the world and we are committed to building it and seeing lives transformed by Jesus Christ.

Our Heart

Lighthouse exists to connect people to God and to each other. We help people to experience a God who is vibrant, joyful and powerful. He cares about you as an individual and Jesus said that He came to earth that we might have a life of abundance.

Our Journey

Our Journey began with our founding pastors, Gordon and Jo Moore, establishing our Church in the northern suburbs of Brisbane on 6th April 1986 with seven people. In November 2016, Pastors Andrew and Wendy McGruther were appointed Senior Minister of Lighthouse Church.

In 2022, we announced our new name, Lighthouse, which we feel embodies the heart of our mission, whilst remaining part of the C3 Global family.

As the Senior Ministers of Lighthouse Church, they are committed to building the church and seeing lives transformed by Jesus Christ. Since 2017, they have also served as C3 Area Directors for Queensland and Northern New South Wales. They believe that the church exists to connect people to God and to each other, helping them experience a God who is vibrant, joyful, and powerful. They also believe that Jesus came to earth so that we might have life in abundance.
